Here is a typical turnaround scenario for requesting Perfect ProofTM
Half Fold: A single fold, creating four panels. You might see a folded poster loosely inserted into a booklet or added into a pocket folder.
Tri Fold: A good option for placing inside a pocket folder or large envelope with other marketing materials.
Z Fold: A Z-folded poster would fit in an envelope for mailing along with your other marketing communications– Think music festival or art gallery.
Double Parallel Fold: Create multiple mini posters in one with this fold– a total of 8 panels will give you the opportunity to show off more performances, artists or products.
French Fold: Many magazines have pages that have a French-folded poster, folded to the standard 8.5x11" page, that becomes a full size poster once opened– Think teen or music magazines.
Roll Fold: A roll fold is great for revealing a map of an event or concert, which can also be saved as a collectible poster. After you're done using it, it can roll back up into a compact shape.
Accordion Fold: The fold that keeps going back and forth…and back and forth. Another smart fold for maps or schedules–posters that you want to stay unfolded for reference at trade shows and events.
Gate Fold: The gate fold creates the two panels on the front that open like a gate, and one large space on the inside.
Double Gate Fold: Perfect for handing out posters at trade shows or events conveniently without having to carry around large, flat posters.
Folding posters allows them to be travel-friendly, mailing-friendly and insert-friendly.
Your file set up will depend on if your posters print on one side or two sides.
If your posters are for Front Only Printing, we will need a 1-page PDF of the artwork, or a single JPG.
If you are printing posters Front & Back, we will need a 2-page PDF, one page for the front and one page for the back, or you can send us two single-page PDFs - one for the front and one for the back. Likewise, you can upload two JPG files.
If your poster has options like folding, you’ll be able to check the fold placement on your digital proof.
